Thank you for your interest in our percussion festival. In this packet you will find information for registering your 
ensemble for performance in the festival. 

It is our goal to provide a forum to celebrate all types of percussion performance—big and small, young and old. 
Performers have the option to receive comments and critique from our staff of judges. While our festival is 
non-competitive, we wish to encourage the highest standards in performance and creativity. 

We are pleased to offer a performance venue for nearly all sizes and styles of percussion ensembles, as well 
as small groups and soloists. 

Performance Opportunities:
ENSEMBLES (6 or more performers) will be assigned 30-minute time slots. This includes performance time and all setup/ tear-down. We will provide a stage crew to assist you as needed. Ensemble performances will take place on the Main Stage. Ensembles will receive written and taped comments from our panel of judges. The registration fee for ensembles is $35 per entry, $50 for colleges and professional ensembles. SMALL GROUP/ SOLO (1 to 5 performers) will be assigned individual slots in 10-minute intervals, including performance and all setup/ tear-down time. We will provide a stage crew to assist you as needed. Small group/ solo performances will take place on the Second Stage. Performers will receive written comments from a judge. The registration fee for small group/ solo performance is $10 per entry. SPECIALTY ENSEMBLES (themed groups, i.e. steel bands, gamelan, drum and dance, etc.) may be featured throughout the festival facilities including the atrium and outside sitting area. There will be a limited number of featured ensembles throughout the day, and performance opportunities will be by invitation only. Interested ensembles should indicate so on the registration form. The registration fee for featured ensembles is $35 per entry, $50 for colleges and professional ensembles. All performing ensembles and small groups will receive a certificate of participation. Additionally, the festival will recognize outstanding achievement and creativity in our awards ceremony that will take place as part of the evening performance. All performers and ensemble directors will receive free admission to all festival events.
Equipment
We will make every effort possible to provide most instruments for your performance. In order to ensure we will be able to do so, please include a list of necessary instruments for your group. All performers should provide their own small items (tambourines, wood blocks, whistles, etc.) and all sticks and mallets. You are welcome to bring your own instruments if you prefer. Please contact us with questions on specific instruments, models, etc. Due to unique instrumentation, featured ensembles are expected to bring their own instruments, however we are happy to assist if needed.
Deadline for registration is March 30, 2007
All interested participants must return a completed application form and registration fee no later than March 30, 2007. Each entry will require a separate form and registration fee (schools or directors entering multiple ensembles may combine payment into a single check. Please be sure to label accordingly).
Admission
Festival admission for all non-performing attendees is $10 for Adults and $5 for Students. This includes admission to all performance venues, clinics and master classes, exhibit hall and evening performance and awards ceremony.
Food
There will be several on-site options for meals and snacks so you don’t have to miss a minute of the action. A hospitality room will be provided for directors.
